Hour of code
1.How did you prepared for this project? Explain.
The way I prepared for the project was to practice ahead of time and and ask my classmates for some help. If I didn’t get the problem so this helped on the day we were going to teach how to code. This helped me alot asking for help and practicing over what I need to teach on the wee needed to teach students. That's how I prepared by practicing and asking my classmates for help.
2.How was your experience before, during, and after this project? From beginning to end.
Before we started I was a little nervous on who I was going to get and if I was going to mess up during teaching or forget something. During it was pretty easy because the student I got new what he was doing and also it was easier to explain because he had an idea on what to do. After it was all done we got threw two games really quickly and it was good experience teaching someone.Overall it was a good experience never done something like that maybe in video games teaching someone but not like this.
3.What did you learn? How do you better understand working and teaching others? Explain.
I learned that it's not that of an easy job teaching someone new things. I have a better understanding of what it takes time and hard work to be really good at this. Teaching others is a very difficult job but if the person is a fast learner it will go smoothly.I have a better understanding on how to teach someone.
4.What was easy, hard, explain why?
What was easy for me was explaining what to do because my student already had an understanding on what to do he was a fast learner plus he had already done this in another class. So it was easy teaching him I had a good time and it was a good experience. That's why it was so easy for me he had already known what to do. That's all I have to say over this question.
5.How that this project benefits our community? Explain.
The way it benefits the community is getting students involved in coding also it shows how fun it could be on progaming games. It also shows students something new they might have never tried and also have an open mind on what they want to do in the future. Plus it shows the ninth grader and idea on what we do in the tech academy and if they plan on joining tech. It benefits them because it shows them what we do and helps with what they want to do. That's how it benefits the community.
